Apereo Foundation’s commercial affiliate Entornos de Formación (EdF) has co-developed a new open source tool, JuezLTI, using Apereo’s incubation project Tsugi. JuezLTI is a cloud-based tool that allows the automatic assessment of computing studies exercises intended for use in higher education and vocational institutions. JuezLTI integrates with Apereo’s Sakai LMS and other LMS platforms. See the full announcement from EdF on the Apereo website.

Sakai Awarded Gold Medal in 2022 by Software Reviews

Sakai LMS was once again awarded a gold medal for LMS excellence and leadership by Software Reviews in November of 2022. As it has since 2019, Sakai ranked highest in the Education Learning Management System category, besting Canvas, Brightspace, and other competitors. 

From Software Reviews: “The Data Quadrant measures the complete software experience, comparing both the experience with the software and the relationship with the vendor.” 

SoftwareReviews.com relies on data gathered from LMS experts. Sakai’s top ranking in this analysis indicates that Sakai experts feel more positively about Sakai than other experts feel about the LMS they use most.
